Smith to remain 49ers’ starter

Despite another loss and an 0-5 start, the San Francisco 49ers will keep Alex Smith as their starting quarterback.

Smith threw for over 300 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions in the loss to Philadelphia.

Head coach Mike Singletary knows the team cannot keep shooting themselves in the foot with all of the mistakes.
